Words From A "Jeanius" - Kanye's Gayest Quotes

These quotes pretty much speak for themselves. I know there's a whole lot more words of "wisdom" from this clown, so let me know and I'll add them in.

"I’m rappin’ now. Anybody who ain’t respecting me as an artist right now, mine as well just bash their heads into the wall just for being stupid. I say, just kill yourself ‘cuz if not, it’s gonna kill you for how much you about to hear me." (okayplayer.com, 2003)

"God could send a message in the form of a goat." (XXL, Oct 2004)

"It's the best hotel I ever stayed in. That shit was crazy. You just lay out on the beach, but what was dope about it was they'd bring you popsicles and stuff." (Rolling Stone, Dec 2004)

"NO I.D. told me 'you need to sample off records' when I found that out, it was all over." (MTV interview)

"I thought I was going to get signed back when I was 13 years old, and come out with a record and take Kris Kross out," (Xposed, August 2004)

It's a good thing 25-year-old Kanye West is such a masta hip-hopper because the native Chicagoan certainly hasn't mastered geography. "I'm not too sure about how the U.K. breaks down," he 'fessed up to London's Daily Mirror. "Is Germany there?" (The Washington Post, Sep 16, 2004).

"I always break it down, I make sure my hand is down on the mike and my outfit looks good!" (Radio 1, UK, June 2004)

RapTapes.Com: Is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable?
Kanye West: Ummm... I dont really eat tomatos.
(Rocafella.com)

"Yeah. Britney Spears' [video] is a knock-off of that, too. The one where she pulls up in a limo, gets out and walks through white hallways in slow motion? You don't think that's not a visual knockoff of "All Falls Down"? Tell me that first shot [in her video] is not the exact same shot." (VH1, May 13, 2004)

"Jay-Z can't be any more backpack than he is already, and Talib Kweli can't be any more commercial than he is already. Somehow I fit in the center of them both. I'm not too much either way, so I fall between everything. I'm like the 2003 A Tribe Called Quest — I'm A Guy Called West." (MTV, June 5, 2003)

"Then when I got on TV, people still saw that confidence, but they also saw this mild-mannered rapper dressed like Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." (Interview with Jamie Fox, 2004)

(The rest of these are from Scratch Magazine, 2004):

"I used to love MC Hammer."

"I really like Eminem's beats though. He is one of my top-five producers...Me and Em together? Damn....we're like Prince and Stevie."

"Where I lack on voice, pattern, breath control, or whatever, I make up for with lyrics."

"I also want to put out a "stringstrumental" album where's there's all of the music and the hooks. but none of the drums. This way you can hear the plucking on the strings and the bass lines, all that shit."

"I made an album with 16 beats on it that didn't sound like each other, but didn't sound like anything I made for anyone else either. That means I gave 16 new plateaus for the biters."

LOL at "Jeanius"

Posted by: Bol | Jan 19, 2005 8:48:33 AM

Seriously he is a douchebag. But the good news is producers usually go away after a year or so.

Posted by: tonymacq | Jan 19, 2005 1:54:14 PM

he made a mixtape called "Jenius Level Musik". its one of the 222 Reasons I Hate Kanye West.

Posted by: djxplicit | Jan 19, 2005 4:15:49 PM

Absolutely hilarious. I feel like scouring the web for more interviews with the guy now.

Any way you can do a listing of the clown ass lyrics he DID write on the song?

How many rap artists know European geography?

Posted by: Philipp | Jan 19, 2005 10:11:06 PM

Probably not many but what he said is like asking if Canada was located in the United States.

In other words there is ignorance and then there is stupidity, and our favorite douche is a very hateable combination of both.

Posted by: tonymacq | Jan 19, 2005 10:43:55 PM

I think a more relavent question is 'Why should we expect better'. After all not only is he a college dropout but he also is proud of that fact and even encourages others to follow suit.

Posted by: tonymacq | Jan 19, 2005 10:46:32 PM

> what he said is like asking if Canada was located in the United States.

wait...canada ISN'T part of the united states???

> I think a more relavent question is 'Why should we expect better'.

we really shouldnt. the smartest thing ive heard him say is when he called himself "wack" 39 times on that interview.

Unlike most of the people who have been posting in regards to this controversy, I actually knew kanye AND his mother before he blew-up. So you see, I know some thangs. Look for my upcoming book!

Posted by: stillbill | Jan 20, 2005 4:06:30 PM

Really, you should concentrate on his artistic skills (or the lack of them). If you can´t get him by his skills then pointing at personal failures makes no sense.

Stillbill: What book?

Posted by: J. Philipp Bohn | Jan 21, 2005 2:11:37 AM

A book about me.

Posted by: stillbill | Jan 21, 2005 11:32:41 AM

Elaborate!

Posted by: J. Philipp Bohn | Jan 21, 2005 1:45:21 PM

Yes, it will be quite elaborate.

Posted by: stillbill | Jan 21, 2005 4:37:50 PM

Huh? All rappers boast of their talents. I don't get this whole thing.

Posted by: So?? | Feb 3, 2005 12:22:43 PM

> All rappers boast of their talents.

yeah, but first you need talent to boast about it. and its one thing when black thought rhymes about how dope he is and another for kanye to say he doesnt know wheteher germany is in the UK.

Posted by: djxplicit | Feb 5, 2005 12:28:48 PM

Posted by: kanye west | Feb 6, 2005 12:46:34 AM

I hope u know xplicit that the reason that the mixtape ws called "jeanius level musik" is because it was sponsored by Akademiks.. There were other jeanius level mixtapes with other artists besides kanye west...

I think all fo you don't know what you are talking about. You have all this stuff dedicated to hating Kanye and he definately is one of the best. Kanye is one of the greatest rappers and producers ever. He does so much that you problably like songs he's produced and didn't even know he did. How can say you hate a man who is so versatile and creative. Personally i felt that a lot of those quotes were the either clever or he was telling the truth. You sit here and dis Kanye when there is a long ass line of people that suck way more than him. BRITNEY SPEARS CAN'T SING. CHRITINA AAGUILERA IS A SLUT. JESSICA SIMPSON IS A DUMB ASS. ASHLEY SIMPSON LIP SYNCS AND WHEN SHE PERFORMS LIVE SHE SOUNDS LIKE PURE CRAP. GREENDAY ONLY PUTS OUT A GOOD ALBUM EVERY 10 YEARS. I could go on and on but the facts are the facts so you should look at other people and get off my mans back. Please feel free to argue with me because I have no problem being honest and I will argue right back.

I was searching online to see which grammy's Kanye West picked up, and I was unfortunately led to this website. I know that it is hard to not be jealous of someone who is successful, black, and rich. But creating a website that is hateful and ignorant, only shows to the rest of us, who did not mean to find this ridiculous website, that this world is full of people who have so much time on their hands, that they their meaningless lives are so boring that they chose to spend their time updating a website. If it is such a big deal to you that Kanye West dropped out of college and cannot tell you were Canada is located, then why the hell are you wasting the time that you could spend learning, on bashing somebody who did not have to go to college to amount to something. I bet you are a loser, you are probably a single loser, because I cannot imagine somebody who wasn't a loser would want to date you. Get a life and get over the fact that you will probably amount to nothing in your life, and please, don't be so jealous that you cannot afford a Louis Vuitton Purse.

I finally realized that all Black people don't REALLY listen to hip hop. When someone can say KW is original, it makes me think where the hell were they for the last 10 years. Now I know most [black/white] people don't listen to hip hop or at least before Eminem. That its mainly Radio hits. New originbal, Do you think it hurts Common, Talib, or Mos Def 's feelings to say in front of their faces next to Kanye, "All rap music is negative and you are the The Truth!" Also how does an artist that doesn't play ANY instruments or classically compose, produce songs done by musicians (John Legend, Alicia Keys, Miri Ben-Ari). What could he possibly be showing them? I don't know maybe this will help people see real music and open doors. Like what happen with Ashanti, she was like him and then Alica Keys (which didn't mention his name at the grammys) came along and basically ended Ashanti's career. It opened eyes made people look left.

This is probably the most pathetic website I have ever had the misfortune of stumbling upon while looking for Kanye West quotes... but thanks - I got some good ones anyway. I know you are probably angry at reading such an accusation - that you are lame... but let's be honest here: 1. Kayne West did drop out of college, but guess what... he's making a lot more money than you are. 2. Kanye West was nominated for several grammy awards... how many were you nominated for? zero? oh. 3. Kanye West doesn't know a whole lot about Canada... but he doesn't live there, so why would he?
This site is ridiculous - save yourselves some dignity and spare us all from ever having to witness something this stupid again. (And PS.... you lost.)

Posted by: Lauren | Feb 14, 2005 7:34:29 PM

The funny thing about those quotes, is that if you accused Kanye of saying them, like they were bad things, he'd probably look back at you and admit that he did say them because whatever he did say is probably true. Check the lyrics to the song "last call" about half way in, i quote"...Or use my arrogance as the steam to power my dreams, I use it as my gas..." he knows arrogant, but when your one of the best out there, its hard not to be. Obviously the jack ass that made this web site is not educated, and probably not ever even listened to Kanye's lyrics. He is the most lyrically talented rapper/hip hop artist that we have seen today, and will be remembered for many years to come. That petition by the way is shit (how the hell did you think that would work?) Kanye is the shit and i'm pretty sure that his Grammy awards prove that...
P.S.- djxplicit, give me 221 more reasons why you hate kanye and i'll give you 222 why he's one of the best rappers out there...

Posted by: doesn't even matter... | Feb 14, 2005 11:11:55 PM

All these people acting like we're hating are so dillusional. Kanye has everyone fooled but us. Nothing is cool about being an underachiever. People keep talking about how Kanye makes more money than people going to college, etc. That's true. All you stupid college educated idiots are buying it and supporting someone who doesn't respect you or your hard work. I agree with him about college being a waste of time for many people, but not everyone. Someone has to work at McDonalds, and someone has to be a doctor. Kanye shouldn't be discouraging the doctors and lawyers of the world. What are kids going to do? Pursue careers in the arts, and become starving artists? Not everyone who is a COLLEGE DROPOUT becomes a millionaire producing tracks from records they found in mom's basement. Many become the creepy unemployed guy living in mom's basement.
